The accuracy of the rotation gauge is within +/- 1 degré. If you suspect that the gauge may have been bent (e.g., from being stepped on), you can easily verify its accuracy by using a level. Simply place the gauge on the tube, measure and mark 0 degrés, then flip it 180 degrés, align it with the mark, and verify that it is within 1 degré. If the gauge is indeed bent, you can adjust the bend at the large tab to bring it back into specifications.
