About the magnetic stir bar and stirring speed
The magnetic stirrer has a strong magnetic field to keep the stir bar firmly in place. The size of an original magnetic stir bar is 1.18 inch and it is enough to stir a lot of liquid. If you want to get the max, stirring speed faster than the device default, there is a trim resistor at the bottom of the unit. You can use a screwdriver to fine-tune directly. (However, please exercise caution. It can easily cause the liquid to splash out, if the stirring speed is too fast.)
