This set is less expensive than our pro set. It is primarily geared to lighter installers and gardeners. Because the Digger (shovel) blade is designed to cut though things, we currently ship in hardboard reinforced cardboard boxes. The Quick Trench STD Shovel allows you bury wiring, irrigation lines or water lines at a little less than a foot a minute using only a hand tool. Unlike the Pro version, this one is more like a traditional shovel. At 9 inches width per dig, you get an 8 A 18 inch deep trench that is just barely wider than the conduit or water line. This tool is better suited to lighter operators. Instead of removing dirt from a trench, it simply moves it to the side. The specially designed blade is made to snap roots rather than cut them so, if you hit a cable or something, you can tell the difference. Unlike a regular flat shovel this tool is designed to be used in the way shown. A regular shovel will soon break if you push forward and back on it. This package also comes with our most popular insertion tool, the Irrigation QuickBurial tool. Because of its U shaped (smile) tip, it is designed to force wire or water lines past any roots, using your full body weight without fear of damaging them.
