HOW TO QUICKLY DETECT GAS LEAKS?

To detect leaks while minimizing false alarms, turn the sensitivity dial upward toward (+) until the device begins to alarm. Turn sensitivity dial downward (-) slightly until alarm stops and 1st LED just turns off. Now, any small increase of gas level (as from a leak!) will cause the alarm to sound.Calibrating sensitivity level in the same room as the gas leak will help improve device accuracy by filtering out any background gas. Calibrating outdoors may lead to device sounding when entering gas-filled room before actual leak is found. If alarm sounds prematurely before a leak is found, sensitivity needs to be decreased to prevent false alarms.Allow device to warm up sensor for 10 seconds until yellow “Warm Up” light turns off.
