The Realist Cello acoustic transducer was created by Ned Steinberger in collaboration with David Gage. Their main objective was to design a transducer that could deliver consistent performance for both pizzicato and arco techniques, when connected to common amplifiers, without the need for additional pre-amp or active battery-powered equipment. The transducer features a flexible element that fits under the bridge foot to capture sound from both the bridge and top plate, resulting in a rich and powerful sound that accurately represents the acoustics of both pizzicato and arco playing styles, without the need for manual adjustments. Installation is hassle-free, simply plug it in.
REAL SOUND: The Realist Copperhead Cello Pickup produces a transparent sound quality with exceptional dynamic response, closely resembling the natural sound of the cello being amplified, making it stand out among other pickups in the market.
EASY TO INSTALL: The low-profile and flexible design of the cello transducer allows it to fit snugly under the bridge foot, while the jack discreetly mounts to the back of the tailpiece. If you’re capable of changing strings, you can easily install a Copperhead.
SELF-POWERED: The Realist Copperhead Cello Pickup does not require batteries or charging, making it convenient to use.
MINIMAL DESIGN: The Realist Copperhead Cello Pickup ensures reliable amplification without compromising the aesthetics or playability of the cello. No adapters are necessary – simply plug it in and start playing (note that a 1/4″ cable is not included).
TRUSTED QUALITY: The Realist Copperhead Cello Pickup is backed by a one-year warranty and is proudly made in the USA. Renowned artists worldwide endorse Realist products for their professional-level performance and durability over the years.
